Jude was born in 2014 and was a very typical baby in most ways, but as a young toddler, Jude, began showing signs of regression. Jude’s speech began to dissipate, he started getting anxious which would lead to the occasional meltdown, and he also began to stim to help regulate his mind. At the age of 3 he was diagnosed with autism. Jude attends Mitchell Elementary School and is doing great there. He is very close with his classmates and his teacher, Ms. Morgan. Jude is nonverbal but has been able to figure out his own way of communicating and letting his needs be known. Jude now uses a communication device to help with communication. Jude has two younger siblings and a family that loves and thinks the world of him. Jude’s hobbies include riding horses with Appalachian Therapeutic Riding Company. Jude also participates with Special Olympics. He enjoys learning all the different sports. Jude enjoys traveling and amusement parks. Jude’s favorite thing to do is play on his iPad.
